Internet Tools No.2 MUA Test Scenario
Last Update: 31-Jan-2002
Current Version: 1.0.4-2
Authorized Date: 03-Oct-2002
Assertion 1 : Verify that mail user agents, for example Mozilla, are able
to input and output all the characters of the each locale described by
Annex B.
- MUA is required to be able to send and receive by UTF-8 codeset.
- 'send' includes able to input. Thus this test depends on IM.
- 'Being able to input' means able to input whole repertoire of Legacy codesets(whole
Unicode 3.0 repertoire is better, of course)
If these are satisfied, this test will be passed. For example, MUA of Mozilla
0.9.8 with IIIMF by Xlib-I18N is satisfied these lists.
If it's not possible, a set of MUA(s)(deferent binaries for each locale,
single binary is better, but not mandatory) are required, which are satisfied
above lists with all of codesets listed below.
- ISO-8859-1
- ISO-8859-2
- ISO-8859-5
- ISO-8859-7
- ISO-8859-9
- ISO-8859-13
- ISO-8859-15
- EUC-JP
- EUC-KR
- EUC-TW
- GB2312
