LI18NUX SPEC 2000 Conformance

Incidental Conditions


This document describes incidental conditions for the LI18NUX SPEC 2000 Conformance Program. These conditions apply to both the official conformance program and the pilot conformance program "the Spec2K PilotProgram". 

 
 
A. Applications for major release distribution products
  • Each distributor may apply to the Conformance Program up to three times a year for major release distribution products.
 
B. Minor updates to conformed distribution products
  • Each distributor may have minor updates to the conformed distribution products.
  • Each distributor must guarantee that any updates to the conformed distribution products maintain conformity with the LI18NUX 2000 Globalization Specification.
  • Depending on the minor updates, inspections to the conformed distribution products with the minor updates will be performed by the distributor and the Li18nux Certification Center in every renewal process (See Section C) for the conformity.
  • Each distributor should make public any information regarding the minor updates and conformity for the conformed distribution products in a timely manner.
 
C. Renewals for conformed distribution products 
  • Each distributor must renew the conformance license for conformed distribution products every six month to continue to keep the conformance status. Otherwise the conformance status will expire after six months from conformance effective date.
  • The renewal process can be started eight weeks before the expiration date of conformance.
